Natural Non-Polished Quartz Crystals
 Quartz, which is SiO2, is one of the earths most abundant minerals. It is everywhere. It can grow in big massive chunks as well as small pebbles. It can be totally clear, known as rock crystal, clear or optical crystal. It can also be totally milky and opaque or a combination of cloudy and clear. Go on a hike, you will most likely find quartz. Walk down a street, you will probably see it in a landscaped yard. It is also used in lasers, batteries and silicon based products. Lab grown quartz, which is optically clear and easy to produce, has replaced a great majority of natural quartz in the industrial setting.
Quartz also grows in beautiful crystal formations. These can be very tiny to massive crystals weighing over 1000 lbs. Like the non- crystal form of quartz, crystals can be totally clear or totally milky and everything in between. They can have internal wisps and veils that play with the light and make the crystal very interesting to gaze into. They can grow as single crystals, twins, and clusters of numerous crystals. Sometimes minerals like tourmaline or rutile are found inside the quartz. There can also be areas of trapped water (enhydro quartz), gases (blue needle quartz), or phantom markings that you can see. Other minerals and earth influences can effect the color of the quartz as well, making it purple (amethyst), pink (rose quartz), golden (citrine) or brown (smoky quartz).
Quartz Crystals have been used for centuries for their healing qualities. They are able to store energy, to direct energy, and to transmit energy (which is why they are used so much in industry). Crystal healings utilize the quartz' ability to bring healing energy into the body or to a specific part of the body. Some are used to withdraw energy as well. They can be programmed to help with a specific problem as well as having the ability to send healing energy long distance. Because they can take on and store energy, it is very important to keep your healing crystals energetically clean. A good soaking overnight in salt water works great. (Note that the salt water works for most stones. If the stone is soft or very fragile, it could be damaged or may disintegrate completely in the water. I know this from experience!)
Below are some quartz crystals that are natural, meaning they have not been polished or altered. Some people love polished crystals, feeling that the polishing refines the energy and beauty of the stones. Some phantom or included quartz are polished so you can really see what is going on. Other people feel that polishing a stone ruins the energy of it, so they prefer non-polished pieces. We also offer a selection polished crystals. It is a personal preference. I love both polished and natural. I use both in healing work. They are all wonderful.
We hand select each crystal. We choose our crystals based not only on their high structural quality, but also on their energetic quality. We work hard to keep our stones energetically clear and clean but we always recommend that you cleanse them when you get them home, as well as periodically.
