Polished Quartz Crystals

Quartz, which is SiO2, is one of the earths most abundant minerals. It is everywhere. It can grow in big massive chunks as well as small pebbles. It can be totally clear, known as rock crystal, clear or optical crystal. It can also be totally milky and opaque or a combination of cloudy and clear. Go on a hike, you will most likely find quartz. Walk down a street, you will probably see it in a landscaped yard. It is also used in lasers, batteries and silicon based products. Lab grown quartz, which is optically clear and easy to produce, has replaced a great majority of natural quartz in the industrial setting.

Quartz also grows in beautiful crystal formations. These can be very tiny to massive crystals weighing over 1000 lbs. Like the non- crystal form of quartz, crystals can be totally clear or totally milky and everything in between. They can have internal wisps and veils that play with the light and make the crystal very interesting to gaze into. They can grow as single crystals, twins, and clusters of numerous crystals. Sometimes minerals like tourmaline or rutile are found inside the quartz. There can also be areas of trapped water (enhydro quartz), gases (blue needle quartz), or phantom markings that you can see. Other minerals and earth influences can effect the color of the quartz as well, making it purple (amethyst), pink (rose quartz), golden (citrine) or brown (smoky quartz).

Quartz Crystals have been used for centuries for their healing qualities. They are able to store energy, to direct energy, and to transmit energy (which is why they are used so much in industry). Crystal healings utilize the quartz' ability to bring healing energy into the body or to a specific part of the body. Some are used to withdraw energy as well. They can be programmed to help with a specific problem as well as having the ability to send healing energy long distance. Because they can take on and store energy, it is very important to keep your healing crystals energetically clean. A  good soaking overnight in salt water works great. (Note that the salt water works for most stones. If the stone is soft or very fragile, it could be damaged or may disintegrate completely in the water. I know this from experience!)

Below are some quartz crystals that have been polished. Some people love polished crystals, feeling that the polishing refines the energy and beauty of the stones. Some phantom or included quartz are polished so you can really see what is going on. Other people feel that polishing a stone ruins the energy of it, so they prefer non-polished pieces. We also offer a selection of natural, non-polished crystals. It is a personal preference. I love both polished and natural. I use both in healing work. They are all wonderful.

We hand select each crystal. We choose our crystals based not only on their high structural quality, but also on their energetic quality. We work hard to keep our stones energetically clear and clean but we always recommend that you cleanse them when you get them home, as well as periodically. Stunning Large Crystal

This is a beautiful quartz crystal. It has nice clarity and so, so much going on inside. There are many veils and wisps that give the feeling of motion. Then about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom is an area that looks like a mountain scene or a big wave and it has multiple rainbows. Just gorgeous. The main face, as well as a couple of other areas, have tiny pits that they apparently didn't want to try to polish out or they would have ended up with a really lopsided stone. Some of them have a bit of iron in them. This crystal feels like it has quite a  bit of wisdom to share. It would be great to meditate with it, or to send energy through. It's a great place holder for the light.    PQ-13

Large Beautiful Crystal

This is a really lovely quartz crystal. And it is a nice large one too. It has nice clear areas in the top part of the stone with just enough internal veils to make it interesting. The bottom part has all kinds of internal structures that catch the light, veils, wisps and rainbows. Just a stunning piece. It's ready to get to work. A great meditation or sending piece. It appears kind of yellowish in the picture, but it is actually clear colored.  PQ-16

Lovely Quartz Crystal

This is such a beautiful crystal. It is clearer than the picture shows. It actually has nice clarity all the way through, with wisps and veils throughout. A nice quality of quartz with just enough going on inside to make it interesting. It would be nice on a light box too. It has a nice grounded energy and feels like it is ready to work. It would be a good one to program or to do long distance healing work with. #PQ-1

Pretty Quartz Crystal

This crystal has wonderful internal planes that catch the light and form internal rainbows. There are many wisps and veils inside the quite clear, high quality quartz. It has a lovely, gentle energy. Unfortunately, it has a chip on the left side, just as one of the faces meets the side and a teeny tiny one on the upper left edge where two of the main faces meet. It doesn't effect the stones energy, but it does discount it's price. #PQ-2

Interesting Quartz Crystal

This crystal has all kinds of things going on. It is absolutely full of wisps and veils and internal planes, all set amidst what you can tell is a nice quality of quartz. It isn't all opaque and solid white like many crystals. It's interesting. Unfortunately, it didn't do so well in shipping and has a chip on it's main face at the tip, one at the bottom and one on the side (that actually feels like it was a natural part of the crystal that is indented so the polisher went right over it). Despite all of that, the crystal has a lovely energy. It feels like it is looking for it's right home and then it will spring to life.  #PQ-4

Penetrator Quartz Crystal

This is a nice, large, high quality quartz crystal. The top 1/3 of the stone is "clear as water" quartz  with a few wisps and rainbows. The bottom 2/3 is filled with numerous wisps and veils. The real bonus is that there are at least 6 penetrator crystals that you can see. They aren't manifestation crystals, as they are not totally encased. Instead, you can see part of the smaller crystals inside the larger crystal. They are like bridge crystals except the other end of the crystal does not come out of the stone. This is a great crystal for meditation, programming, healing work or just for it's beauty.   #PQ-5

Lovely Quartz Crystal

This is such a sweet crystal. It has an area down the center (like it's central channel) that has nice clarity. All around the channel are wisps, veils and planes that catch the light and form internal rainbows. There is a touch of iron here and there too. There are a few small nicks along a couple of the edges, but it doesn't impact the energy of this stone. It has such a bright and shiny feel to it, like it's a happy stone.   #PQ-6

Penetrator Rutilated Quartz Crystal

This beautiful crystal has so much going on. It is a very, very, pale smoky quartz with wonderful clarity. There are just a few strands of rutile. They are substantial threads too, not just wispy hair like rutile. There are also veils that make beautiful rainbows inside the stone. And to top that all off, there are at least 2 penetrator crystals. You can really see the crystals inside the main crystal. And one of them almost looks like it was a twin crystal, so one side is completely inside the main crystal while it's twin is half in and the other side is polished flat against the main stone (I hope that makes sense). So would that make it a manifestation stone? I'm not sure. There are some tiny nicks along the edge of one face, but it doesn't take anything away from this incredible piece.  #PQ-8

Chlorite Phantom Quartz Crystal

This is such a neat crystal. It has nice clarity with many pale veils as well as rainbows and bright reflective planes. There is also some green chlorite here and there. Running along one side of the stone are layers and layers of phantom lines. If you are unfamiliar with phantom crystals, please visit our phantoms page for more information. Beautiful. Unfortunately, the tip got a nick in it. I was going to repolish it, but I didn't want to lose any of the phantom lines. So the price has been reduced. It really is a stunning piece.  #PQ-9
