So I was thinking about the “Cat in the Hat” and it made me think of being a mom. I don’t know why, but it kind of makes sense. Remember how the cat had all those little cats under his hat that would go and do stuff? Well, think of all the hats that us moms wear under our mom hat. I can think of a few: chef, maid, chauffeur (big time! That’s little cat A), teacher, counselor, accountant, critic, personal shopper, and whatever you call someone who is always there for you…oh yeah, they’re called a mom. What did I miss? I’d love to hear all the hats you wear as a mom.

So to all you moms out there, give yourself a big old pat on the back and go do 5 compassionate acts for yourself. If you are like me the first time I heard about this, I froze! Do 5 things just for me? What? I’d forgotten how. How crazy is that? They can be big or small. Take a hike. A bubble bath perhaps. Even sitting down and having a great cup o’ joe will do IF you are conscious that what you are doing is just for you. Give it a try. Your worth it. And happy moms day! You’re the best…
