Tourmaline For Sale Page 2
Tourmaline is a wonderful stone that comes from various locations around the world. South America, the United State (California and Main) and Africa are known producers of fine tourmaline specimens. A few pieces have come out of Vietnam as well. It is prized by collectors for its varied colors, clarity and crystal size. It is cut or faceted into stones for jewelry. It grows in many different shades of green and pink, also with the two combined, forming what's known as watermelon tourmaline. The blues are more rare. Known as indicolite, this dark blue tourmaline makes beautiful gemstones. It is also sought after for it's metaphysical properties, working on the 6th chakra (for more information on chakras, please see our healing page). Paraiba tourmaline is a bright lighter blue, like the color of the Caribbean ocean. This color is produced by it's high gold content. This is a rare color and it makes beautiful and pricey gemstones. It is used by healers to help the chakra that lies between the heart and the throat, helping one to speak from the heart. Some of the African tourmaline come in deep, dark pinks, bordering on red. There is also yellow, brown and purple tourmaline yet these colors are more difficult to find. Black tourmaline has been used for it's grounding and protective qualities for some time and is a wonderful addition to a home, car or office. Some children find it helps them to not have nightmares.
We really like tourmaline so we have many pieces. They range in size from very small, which many people use in jewelry, art and healing, as well as larger crystals for the healing practitioner or collector. This is a very stunning piece of rare Paraiba tourmaline. This and the tourmaline pictured below were one piece that we had cut. And we were pleasantly surprised to find that the tourmaline went all the way through. And it is beautiful! The tourmaline is a bright blue mixed with an almost purple color as well as areas of deep pink / red. The matrix stone is quartz with a large piece of manganese which is visible in the top left side of the picture. A wonderful piece for the collector. From Brazil. #RM-9

Watermelon Tourmaline
Watermelon tourmaline is such a wonderful stone. The top of this stone is a lovely sparkly green. The bottom half is watermelon. The classic pink center surrounded by green can be viewed from the bottom (see the larger picture to see the watermelon effect.) There is also some mica "flowers". There are areas of pink on the outside as well. There is a crack in the stone, basically where the watermelon meets the solid green. This hasn't been repaired. It appears to have been made by mother nature. A great stone, especially for the heart chakra. #tourm4

Tri-Colored Tourmaline
This is a fun tourmaline. It has 3 distinct colors growing together in layers. There is a thin layer of clear green. Then there is a nice pink which is topped with a yellow green color. In the picture, it is actually sitting on it's top, which has a frosty appearance. The back of the stone is a bit rough. That is where there is evidence of another stone having grown there at some point. This stone grew in more of a flat shape than rounded. A good stone to help connect the heart and solar plexus chakras. #tourm9
3/4 inches tall x 13/16 inch wide x 1/2 inch thick. 9.8gms.

Watermelon Tourmaline
This is a bit of a rough piece, but it has a lot going on. It has an outer layer of a yellow green, with a pink center. But on one part of the crystal, the green didn't grow, so you can really see the pink. There is a black crust along the very top. Interesting. And it is priced less per gram than the other clearer tourmalines. #tourm10
1 3/16 inches tall x 3/4 inch wide. 10.7 gms.
