Herkimer diamonds are some of the brightest stones. Despite their name, they are not diamonds. They are quartz. When they were first discovered, they were given the name diamonds because of their clarity and brightness. If you've ever held a palm full of these magical little stones, you know that they do indeed look and sparkle like diamonds. The other part of their name comes from where they are mined, in Herkimer County, New York. Similar stones have been found in other parts of the world but they can't be called Herkimers. They are found in pockets and the stones are clear and bright, right from the ground. They are known for their high vibration and happy energy. Also known as the dream stone, they can help get clarity in ones dreams. They are also used by healers as a way to connect with those they are working on.

8 Herkimer Cluster

This is such a sweet cluster. It has one main large herkimer that has at least 7 other herkimer diamonds attached to it. The main stone has internal veils and wisps along with some carbon and iron inclusions. There are numerous rainbows as well. The cluster stones are clearer and some have inclusions of carbon and iron as well. There are numerous key formations too. The back side of one of the stones is a bit gnarly. Maybe that is where it was attached to another stone at some point? It's much clearer and not as yellow as the picture shows. But it is a smoky herkimer. The energy of this cluster isn't super buzzy, but more like a vortex. Very powerful. It would be a great stone if you want to do some astral traveling or as a great meditation / healing piece. It has much information to share.  #H-22

Herkimer Twin Plus 2

This is a smoky herkimer despite it looking kind of yellow in the picture. The two main stones are nice size (over 2 inches each) herkimer diamonds with clear areas mixed along with skeletal internal structures. There is plenty to look at with it's rainbows and carbon inclusions. On the back of the stone, nestled right between the two main stones, are two bright and shiny babies (one larger than the other). Very pretty. There is also a bit of the matrix stone in place. The energy of this stone is quite interesting. It starts out feeling soft and grounded, energizing the heart chakra. Then it starts traveling and getting more powerful. It reaches quite a high vibration. Wow!  #H-23

Long Herkimer Cluster

This is a nice, large, cluster of numerous smoky herkimers. It is lighter in color than the picture shows. There are at least 7 herkimers ranging in size from 3 inches down to 3/4 inch. Some have nice clarity, others have the skeletal internal structure which produce tons of rainbows. There is a lot to gaze at with this cluster. There are a couple of rough parts where I am assuming the stone was connected to the matrix rock. The energy of this stone is strong, but not overly buzzy. It is a central channel clearer and would be great for healing and astral travel work. #H-24

Herkimer with "Window"

This is a lovely, bright herkimer with a nice window formation. Great internal rainbows with some black inclusions. Beautiful wisps and veils. It has a rough area on one end, apparently where it was attached. This is from an old collection that was gathered over 25 years ago. The energy is very fluid like with a hint of buzz. Bright Herkimer

This is such a bright and sparkly stone. Great clarity, clearer than the picture shows. It has an interesting shape, like a tabby quartz. The bottom of the stone is where it was attached and is not intact. There is a bit of matrix rock attached there. There is also a shallow key formation along the main face. This is from an old collection that was gathered over 25 years ago. This herkimer is a powerhouse of energy. It feels like it is working to contain it. With the right person, it will be able to really let it out.  #H-10

Lovely Herkimer

This is a lovely herkimer, with nice light catching veils. It has good clarity, a sparkly interior and a few areas of iron inclusions. There is a key formation that is filled with a druzy and iron combination. This is from an old collection that was gathered over 25 years ago. This stone is all about balance, harmony and connection with guides or other sources of needed information. A great stone to astral travel with as it takes you places very, very quickly. Smoky Herkimer

I love the shape of this stone. On one side it looks like one herkimer, the other side it looks like there are 2 or 3 stones. It has a lovely smoky color with some clarity. There are numerous internal veils that play with the light. Nice internal rainbows are visible, along with some iron inclusions. Really pretty. The energy of this stone is quite interesting. It feels very grounding, really anchoring you, while it also opens your 7th chakra and starts you on a journey. A nice combination.  A great stone. From a recent find.  #herk-25
