Rubies For Sale

Rubies are one of the most coveted stones on earth. They are known for their lovely deep red color, but they actually grow in a number of different shades of red to almost pink. They are a corundum, the same family as sapphire, and sometimes they have the same star effect that a star sapphire has (a lovely six sided star that appears to float on the surface of the stone.) Rubies have been used for centuries in royal crowns, staffs and breast plates of high priests, as well as in fine jewelry. They symbolize love and devotion. They are associated with the first, or base, chakra. This chakra, located at the base of the spine, is all about physical vitality, survival and our fight or flight response. This chakra can get depleted with too much stress, illness or from a "burning the candle at both ends" kind of lifestyle. Rubies help support and balance the first chakra. Also, those who have the sun sign Aries, Leo or Sagittarius find rubies comforting.

We have many natural ruby crystals. Many of these were mined numerous years ago and are from an old collection. These are all natural and haven't been polished or modified in any way. They are not gem grade pieces, but wonderful specimens of ruby crystals.

Ruby Crystal

This is a good sized ruby crystal with a nice deep red-pink color. There is a part of the crystal that looks like it has worn away, as if it was in a water source. Not sure what it's from. If only the stone could talk! It's a great place to put your thumb when you are holding it. It would make a wonderful meditation companion. It has interesting markings as well. From India.  #ruby1

Ruby Crystal

This ruby crystal has a nice red color, as well as an intact crystal shape. It is a great size to do healing work with, or to just carry around. Record Keeper Crystal

This ruby crystal has a nice shape as well as a nice deep red-pink color. And since it is a bit flat, it is great to use in healing work, or to hold during meditation. Big Chunky Ruby Crystal

OK, so that may not be a geological term, but it describes this ruby well. It is another one that looks like it was partially water polished, as if the crystal was in the way of flowing water at some point in it's formation. Two sides are very "water polished" looking. A very interesting piece. Deep red color. Would be a great healing or meditation piece. It feels like it is really ready to work. Well grounded. From India.  #ruby7

Unique Ruby Crystal

This is an unusual looking ruby crystal. It has 5 sides and the top resembles a wedding cake. The stone is on it's side in the picture and you are looking straight at the top of the stone. See the layers? Interesting. Great color, interesting marks. It has a nice weight to it as well so it feels good in your hand. All in all, it's a neat ruby. From India.  #ruby9
